Refunds & Cancellation
The short version: cancel whenever you like, and if a paid plan was not what you expected, write to us within 14 days and we refund it. No form, no reason required.
Try before you pay
Most of PDFVault is free and stays free — opening, editing, filling, signing and exporting all work without an account and without paying. You can decide whether the tool suits you before money is ever involved.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time, and it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — so a cancellation halfway through a month leaves the paid tools working until that month ends. Nothing is charged after that.
Cancel from the receipt email sent by our payment provider, or simply email support@pdf-vault.co and we will do it for you.
Your files are unaffected. Cancelling never touches anything you made — every document you edited or exported is already on your own device and stays exactly where it is.
Refunds
If you paid and it was not what you expected, email support@pdf-vault.co within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need to explain why.
After 14 days:
- we will still refund a charge you did not intend — an accidental renewal, a duplicate charge, or a plan you thought you had already cancelled;
- we will refund an annual plan pro-rata if you ask part-way through the year and have a good reason;
- if the paid features genuinely did not work for you and we could not fix it, you get your money back regardless of how long it has been.
We would rather refund someone than argue with them.
How a refund is processed
Our payment provider is the merchant of record for the sale, so the refund is issued by them and returns to the original payment method. That usually takes 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. We do not hold your card details at any point, which is why refunds always travel back the same way the payment came.
Your statutory rights
If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. The policy above is deliberately at least as generous, and nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
